Mata Vaishno Devi yatra

The Holy Cave of Mata Vaishnoo Devi is situated at an altitude of 5200 ft. The Holy Cave located in the mountain called Trikoot because of its three peaks. From base camp of Karta the devotees have to undertake a trek of nearly 12 kms to reach here. Now more than 10 million people undertake this yatra every year.

Hindu mythology believes that this is the place where Mata Vaishnavi merged her human form with the astral form of her creators. The devotees have her darshan in the holy cave in the shape of three natural rock formations called the Pindies. There are no statues or idols inside the Cave. A geological study indicate the age of the cave to be nearly one million years.

This is an overnight tour which takes you for darshan of Mata Vaishnoo Devi. This tour is designed for devotees who are short on time and are physically fit as the long trek can take physical toll on people. For other devotees we suggest that they take the 2 night 3 days package.

Jammu is very well connected by road, trains and flights to all major cities. There are overnight Volvo coaches that ply from Delhi to Jammu. Regular flight connections are available from all major cities, either directly or via Delhi.
