Located on the banks of river Hooghly, Dakshineshwar is a temple dedicated to Goddess Kali. Across the river in the North is Belur – the location of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission with its history intertwined with this Temple.
Rani Rashmoni Devi, from a revered Jamindar family of Bengal, got the temple built in 1855 and engaged Ramakrishna Paramahansa as the head priest, who would later influence young Vivekananda to tread a path and philosophy steeped in social emancipation & equality among all castes creeds and religious beliefs. Vivekananda continues to inspire the youth of this country and the world.
Rani Rashmoni Devi was revered more for her extensive social work and standing up to British excesses. The legacy is carried forward and the monks who look after the Ramakrishna Math have dedicated their lives to social upliftment and service through various charitable activities.

This package starts with your pick-up from Kolkata Airport or Train station. Kolkata is connected by direct trains and flights
from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bhubaneshwar, Bangalore, Pune, Goa, Patna, Lucknow, Raipur, Ranchi, Ahmedabad, Varanasi and Vadodara.

DAY 1 - Arrive Kolkata Airport or Train Station
- You will be received by our driver on your arrival. Transfer to your hotel in Kolkata. Check-in.
- For all post lunch arrivals. Evening will be free.
- Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 2 - Kolkata
- Early morning visit Kalighat.
- In the afternoon visit Dakshineshwar Temple.
- After the temple visit we continue to Belur Math. See the Math premises. Later we join the evening Aarti. After aarti drive back to Kolkata.
- Overnight at your hotel.
DAY 3 - Leave Kolkata
- After breakfast visit Birla temple and Jain temple.
- Later transfer to the airport or train station for your travel to next destination.
