Enraged at the insult to Sati and himself by King Daksha, Sati’s father, resulting in Sati ending her life by immolating herself, Lord Shiva in the avatar of Virbhadra performed the Tandava carrying Satis body. When the Gods requested Lord Vishnu to somehow stop complete annihilation by Shiva, he used his Sudarshan Chakra to cut Satis body into 51 pieces linking to 51 alphabets in Sanskrit that fell all over India. Each such spot is a Shakti Peetha and worshipped as holiest of holy places.
Three of these Shakti Peethas are in West Bengal and one in Guwahati Assam.
This pilgrimage takes you to from Kolkata to Birbhum, Maldah, Siliguri to Kamakhya in Guwahati.

DAY 1 - Arrive Kolkata Airport or Train Station
- For all arrivals till 1300 hours, we will arrange a visit Dakshineshwar Temple.
- After the temple visit we continue to Belur Math. See the Math premises. Later we join the evening Aarti. After aarti drive back to Kolkata.
- Overnight at your hotel.
DAY 2 - Kolkata to Birbhum
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Drive to Bolpur via Bardhman. Enroute we stop at Katwa, Ketugram and Ujaani to visit 3 important Shakti Peethas
- On arrival at Birbhum, check into hotel.
- Afternoon visit Kankalitala.
- Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 3 - Birbhum to Maldah
- After breakfast leave for Maldah.
- Enbroute we visit Bakreshwar, Nalhati, Sainthia and Keerit Shakthi peetha’s.
- On arrival in Maldah check-in at hotel.
- Overnight at Maldah.
DAY 4 - Maldah to Siliguri
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Leave for Siliguri. Enroute visit Bhramari Devi temple at Bodagunj in Jalpaiguri district.
- Also visit Sevakeswari Kali temple.
- On arrival in Siliguri check-in at the hotel.
- Overnight stay.
DAY 5 - Siliguri to Guwahati
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Transfer to Bagdogra airport for flight to Guwahati.
- On arrival at Guwahati airport our driver will transfer you to hotel.
- Afternoon visit Kamakhya Shakti Peetha followed by a short visit to Umananda temple.
- Overnight stay.
DAY 6 - Leave Guwahati
- After breakfast time free till departure.
- Later transfer to the airport or train station for your travel to next destination.
