Approximately 200 kms north of Kolkata, in the district of Birbhum, is located a small but world renowned university town of Shantiniketan - its creator Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore. Using his Nobel Prize money he expanded the school he had started, to what is now called Vishwa Bharati University. Some its illustrious students include Indira Gandhi, Amartya Sen, Satyajit Ray, Gayatri Devi etc. Rabindranath Tagore lived here. His house if of historical importance. He created many of his literary masterpieces here – making this place a great tourist attraction.
You must be wondering what this destination doing in pilgrimages. Well some among mere mortals attain such glory within their lifetime that they transcend to reach the same pedestals as Godly beings – like Vivekananda. That is the stature Kavi Guru Rabindranath Tagore and Shantiniketan enjoys in India.

DAY 1 - Arrive Kolkata Airport or Train Station
- For all arrivals till 1300 hours, we will arrange a visit Dakshineshwar Temple.
- After the temple visit we continue to Belur Math. See the Math premises. Later we join the evening Aarti. After aarti drive back to Kolkata.
- Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 2 - Kolkata - Bolpur
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- After breakfast drive to Iskon Temple in Mayapur. Arrive in time for lunch. Explore temple premises.
- Leave for Shantiniketan in Bolpur. On arrival check-in at hotel. Overnight stay.
DAY 3 - Bolpur - Kolkata
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Explore Shanti Niketan.
- After lunch drive back to Kolkata. Check-in at the hotel.
- Overnight stay.
DAY 4 - Leave Kolkata
- After breakfast time free till departure.
- If your departure is in the late afternoon you may take some optional tour.
- Transfer to the airport or train station for your travel to next destination.
